What review actually checks first
Most profiles that wait in review aren't rejected for anything dramatic — they're paused because one required field is missing, a photo doesn't meet a clear technical standard, or verification documents don't match. None of that is arbitrary: it's the same short list every time. Fix all of it before you hit submit and there's nothing left for review to catch you on.
A complete, correctly formatted submission goes through review faster because there's nothing to flag and send back. Most delays are self-inflicted and avoidable — not a sign anything is wrong with your account.
The fields we check first

Photos that pass on the first try
- Primary photo: your face clearly visible, good lighting, no filters that obscure your features — this is the image compared against your ID.
- Resolution: at least 1000px on the shortest side. Upscaled or heavily compressed images are usually rejected outright.
- No watermarks or borders from other platforms — review can't verify a photo that already carries someone else's branding.
- Consistent identity: every photo on the profile should clearly be the same person as your verification photo.

Upload a valid government ID
Use a current, non-expired ID. Make sure all four corners are visible and the text is sharp enough to read — a blurry photo is the top reason ID checks bounce back.

Match your details exactly
Your display name, date of birth, and photo should all line up with what's on your ID. Small mismatches — a nickname instead of a legal name, a typo'd birth year — are the most common hold-up at this stage.

Submit and wait it out
Once everything's in, avoid editing your profile fields again until review clears — changes mid-review can restart the queue.
Blurry or cropped ID photos, a display name that doesn't match verification, and a primary photo where the face isn't clearly visible account for the large majority of first-attempt rejections. All three are fixable before you ever submit.
Quick checklist before you submit
- Bio is filled in with real, current information
- Category matches your actual content
- Primary photo is sharp, well-lit, and clearly your face
- ID is current, uncropped, and fully legible
- Display name and date of birth match your ID exactly
